Chinese Takeaway Cookery Class

Chinese food has much been the nation's favourite weekend treat with families across the UK ritualistically ordering their favourite dishes from their local Chinese every Friday night. It could quite easily be written in as the 11th commandment “Thou shalt have Chinese every Friday”. This cookery class isn't my interpretation of what I think your Chinese takeaway should taste like, this class is the holy grail of Chinese takeaway (and restaurants) trade secret recipes.
Everyone has a favourite dish and in this class I will help you recreate those dishes step by step with ease and simplicity!

Most classic Chinese recipes cook in minutes, therefore I'll teach you the importance of preparation, which needs to be done before we get our KWok On (I mean Wok On). Chopping skills are a must as we need to ensure that our meat and vegetables are all cut uniformly, so everything can cook evenly once added to our wok or pan. Seasoning and sauces also need to be ready because as soon as you fire up that wok it's all hands on deck and it's go, go, go, well at least for 5 minutes.
Chinese cooking is frantic, and it can feel like a workout as everything happens all at the same time but with a little bit of TLC and forward preparation you’ll be tossing your wok like a pro and creating amazing dishes. By the time you’ve dialled that number and ordered your Chinese Takeaway, you could be sitting at the table delving into rich aromatic soups, munching on crispy fried delights and shovelling down the tastiest Chow Mein dish you’ve ever eaten and all cooked by your own fair hands.
T&C's Participants must be aged 12 years or over. Those aged 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Places are non-refundable.
All classes are subject to a minimum number of six attendees signing up. If the minimum number is not met, we will inform those who have purchased a place no later than 10 days before the class, and will offer a full refund, or a place at an alternative class of their choice.
