This week I wanted to explore a group of islands on the Pacific Ocean who are well known for their customs, traditions and absolute mastery of all they prevail.
Japan also known as “the land of the rising sun” has a long history of the martial arts dating back to at least 23BC, there are many Japanese arts including Sumo, Aikido, Karate, Ninjutsu and Kendo but the most recognised is Judo due to its inclusion in the Tokyo Olympics in 1964.

So what does Japan have to offer for us Foodies? The answer is OMG lots!!!!!

Well, there’s: Sushi and Ramen and Miso and Udon and Tempura and Soba and Onigiri and Mochi and Gyoza and the list goes on and on and on, so where does this China boy start? Well let’s start with one of my all-time favourite Japanese dishes

The recipe I’m going to share with you is probably the simplest and is Japans contribution to the world of fried foods.
