 Pork with Bok Choy

ABOUT THE RECIPE 

Five-spice powder infuses this pork recipe with an intense flavour. Pork and bok choy stir-fry is a great way to cook bok choy, one of the most popular Asian greens. 

METHOD 

Place the oil in a non-stick frying pan or wok and heat over medium-high heat. 
 
Add the pork, Chinese 5 spice and soy sauce and cook for about 2 minutes or until the outside of the pork is cooked now add the onions and cook for a further 2 minutes. 
 
Add the pak choi to the wok and turn down the heat slightly to a medium heat. Cook for a further 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
 
Add the garlic to the pan and cook for a further minute. 
 
Check that the pork is cooked thoroughly and serve on top of noodles or rice. 

INGREDIENTS 

1 teaspoon Coconut Oil or another oil 
4 Pork Loin Steaks sliced 
1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice 
1 teaspoon Soy sauce 
1/2 White Onion (cut into cubes) 
300 grams Pak Choi washed and sliced 
1 Garlic Clove (minced) 

KWOKLYN'S COOKING TIPS 

#1 Use a heavy bottom pan which will retain the heat. 
 
#2 Prep all ingredients before you start to cook. 
 
#3 Always make a little too much as all of these recipes will have you going back for more.
